Our Local Studies section covers all aspects of the Camden local area. Whether you’re looking for current events or items of historical significance we have information on Camden’s people and places including social, environmental and conservation issues, built and natural environments, local buildings, businesses and organisations, churches and schools.
The local studies librarian is available Mondays and Tuesdays for research assistance in the Local Studies room at Camden Library. Phone and email enquiries are welcome at all times, call 4654 7951 or email.
HistoryPix database includes over 2,200 local images. More images are online at Picture Australia. Camden Library has formed the group Changing Places and Faces of Camden on Flickr where you can add your own images.
Seminars, workshops, visiting authors, displays and exhibitions are held through the year in partnership with local history groups. Highlights include Heritage Week in April and History Week in September. More.
