RESERVE AN ITEM

Items that are out on loan or not yet available can be reserved. You will be contacted when the reserved item is available for you to pick up.

You can also have items transferred between our libraries for you to pick up.

Reservations can be made in person or by phone. They can also made by logging in to your library account from My Library link. You will need your library card and password/pin.

There is no charge for reservations on our collections.

REQUEST AN ITEM WE DON’T HAVE - Suggest a Purchase

If the library doesn't have an item you would like, you can suggest a purchase.  If the item is recent and likely to be popular the library will try to purchase it.

You can suggest a purchase in person or online by logging in to My Library using your library card and password/pin.

If the item is older, specialised or doesn't fit our collection guidelines we will try and borrow it from another library through an Interlibrary Loan. If you would like to see which other libraries hold the item you are looking for, a search on TROVE will help you track down the item.

Trove is the shared catalogue of all libraries across Australia, including public, state and university libraries.

There is a $2.20 charge for Interlibrary Loan requests (Universities and other institutions may incur additional charges).
