This exhibition of photographs and relics enables visitors of both cultures to ponder their own and their former enemy’s experience of the Gallipoli campaign. The exhibition covers four main themes: the Turkish naval victory 1915, the Turkish defenders of Gallipoli, the Gallipoli/Canakkale campaign and the aftermath of the campaign. These themes are interpreted through black and white framed photographs and contemporary colour photographs drawn from the Memorial’s collection, plus a selection of Turkish relics displayed in two showcases.
