Roger Rogerson has not been a police officer for more than 20 years, yet his name makes him the most well-known ‘detective-sergeant’ in Australia. The former NSW detective was at the heart of allegations of police corruption and murder in the 1980’s, a time when the distinction between cops and criminals easily blurred.
Rogerson’s career and eventual downfall have been portrayed in TV dramas (most memorably Blue Murder) and have been the subject of numerous articles and books. He took up his own pen whilst in prison. Out, he has walked the club and pub speaking circuit, where he’s found a ready audience for his tales of 'old-style' policing, law and mayhem.
This is the frank and eye-opening story of his life, in his own words.
